A Piece of Our Puzzle August 2015

Jack Edward Townes

Parents: George and Sophia  Townes

LAF Services Received: Family Support Services

On October 30, 2014, our son Jack was diagnosed with severely moderate autism. After the initial shock of the diagnosis, we began to research the Beaufort County area for guidance and support. We had no idea how stressful and frustrating the first year of his diagnosis would be: finding therapies, creating a plan of care and searching for local support. Lowcountry Autism Foundation has been instrumental in giving us direction to services, therapies and support in our area. It is our hope that one day Jack will be independent, be able to form friendships and live a happy and fulfilling life. Together with Lowcountry Autism Foundation, we will be able to raise Jack to his full potential.
