Our Mission

Our Mission is to remove barriers and increase access to early clinical diagnosis, and treatment services, for individuals and families living with autism.

Our Partnership

As of June 2013, the Lowcountry Autism Foundation partnered with the prestigious Medical University of South Carolina's (MUSC) Children's Hospital as part of their Developmental–Behavioral Pediatrics Division. Our headquarters (pictured below) is located in the MUSC Children’s Hospital in Charleston, SC with satellite offices in Hilton Head, SC and Beaufort, SC.

Our Goals

Our Goals are to promote optimal developmental outcomes through awareness of the importance of the earliest possible screening, diagnostics and intervention of children from zero to age 6. We serve all children, adults and families facing the challenges of living with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental delays.

The Lowcountry Autism Foundation’s policy is to provide, support and promote evidence–based treatment and intervention strategies, commonly used in mainstream practice.

Since the Lowcountry Autism Foundation does not charge for the high quality autism services it provides, families are asked to support LAF in the community, help with awareness and when possible assist with LAF events.

Our Board

The Lowcountry Autism Foundation Board of Directors is a group of individuals who have joined together to help maximize the Foundation’s efforts to act on it’s mission and help the lives of those affected by autism in the South Carolina Lowcountry. You can learn more about our Board and its members, here.
